Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Mrs. Maharani open the opportunity for a duet with the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan in the 2024 presidential election. PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto revealed that Puan and Anies have connections.
“Madam said he could have a dialogue, especially as the chairman of the DPR and Pak Anies as the governor, of course there is connectivity,” said Hasto at Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Sunday (27/3/2022).
Hasto explained, Puan also has connections with other governors such as Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and Bali Governor I Wayan Koster. Hasto said that Puan as the Chair of the DPR RI, had a commitment to open a dialogue with anyone.
“Similarly, Mbak Puan and Koster (I Wayan Koster), Pak Ganjar, Olly Dondokambey, and all governors have connections, so what Ms Puan said confirms once again, her commitment to dialogue,” said Hasto.
“As the chairman of the DPR, you can meet with anyone, because the chairman of the DPR is the chairman of the representative council of the Republic of Indonesia. So it’s not just the Jakarta representative council, not East Java, so Ms. Puan opens a dialogue in her capacity as the chairman of the DPR,” he added.
Previously, Puan Maharani opened the opportunity for a duet with Anies Baswedan in the 2024 presidential election. Puan emphasized that she had no problems, let alone being hostile to Anies.
“It’s possible (a duet with Anies), nothing is impossible in politics. All these dynamics can happen. Well, we’ll just have to see next year how the story goes, political stories,” said Puan as quoted on Wednesday (23/3). ).
The statement was conveyed by Puan in a special interview at CNN Indonesia TV. The chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives responded to the suggestion of a duet with Anies to end the ‘tadpole-kampret’ polemic.
Puan also does not deny that she often meets Anies by accident. The former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture also did not cover up his communication with Anies.
“I often, like, accidentally meet Pak Anies at events,” said Puan.
“The communication, if there is a need to like to communicate and if there is an event also communication. How come it gives me the impression that I am hostile? like that with Mr. Anies, no,” he added.
