Jakarta –
Caspar Jakarta make crowd by holding a party that invites a disk jockey (DJ). Floor leader PDIP DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, questioned whether the DKI Provincial Government had given permission to hold a music concert in the bar.
“If he holds a concert, it means a matter of permission, they will definitely get a permit. If they get a permit, it means that there has not been synchronization between SKPD in the context of handling COVID-19,” said Gembong when contacted, Sunday (6/6/2021).
However, Gembong still hopes that the DKI Provincial Government will not issue a permit for the concert. He asked the company to be careful in organizing events during this COVID-19 pandemic.
“Secondly, if it is not licensed (then) the steps taken by the provincial government are appropriate in order to have a deterrent effect on other entrepreneurs so that during this pandemic everyone is careful to implement strict procedures,” he said.
Although the restaurant and bar have been sanctioned, Gembong assesses that the action taken by the DKI Provincial Government is too late. In the future, he suggested that the provincial government could increase supervision in business units.
“It should be done early so that there are cases, there are businessmen who are naughty. Entrepreneurs are looking for loopholes so that they can carry out activities even though activities are dangerous for other parties,” he said.
“Don’t let incident after incident take action if the provincial government has gone viral on social media. So it’s done because it’s viral on social media, don’t let it go,” continued Gembong.
In line with Gembong, a member of the PDIP faction, Gilbert Simanjuntak, also questioned the issue of the permit for a music concert. He urged the DKI Provincial Government to evaluate if it is proven that they have given permission for concert performances.
“There are several possibilities, such as negligence of the organizers or lack of supervision. Of course the organizers already know the existing rules, and they must be held accountable. It is best if such events are not given permission at this time, if they are given permission they must also be evaluated,” explained Gilbert.
On the other hand, the member of Commission B of the DKI DPRD also highlighted the possibility of bars holding concerts secretly. He asked the public to be active if they encounter an incident like this.
“We don’t know if anyone has given permission or if they secretly organize events. It is difficult to monitor all entertainment venues, so if there are reports from the public, it is very helpful,” he said.
Previously, it was reported that it was circulating virally on social media showing a crowd of people at one of the restaurants and bars in the Sudirman area, Central Jakarta. The crowd seemed to be partying with the beat of music brought by a DJ.
The video was also spread on the WhatsApp Group (WAG) messaging application. From the video circulating, it can be seen that people are crowding without wearing masks and not practicing social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They seemed to dance to the accompaniment of music from the DJ. There is also a rapper in action.
The DKI Jakarta Satpol PP finally imposed sanctions on Caspar Jakarta. Sanctions are in the form of sealing for 3 days and a fine of IDR 50 million.
