JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – PDIP politician Effendi Simbolon stated that regeneration in his party was going well. He said PDIP General Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri had prepared a cadre to replace him.
“What I understand is that his statements internally on various occasions, in congresses, and the National Working Meeting have indeed been made several times (the wish to be replaced) was made by him. In essence, he realizes the necessity of change and regeneration, he even prepares young and middle cadres like my age to move forward, ”said Effendi in a virtual discussion on the YouTube channel MNC Trijaya, Saturday (27/3/2021).
According to Effendi, cadre regeneration in PDIP does not involve money politics and looking for figures outside political parties as has happened in other parties.
