Registration of political parties participating in the 2024 General Election begins today. PDI Perjuangan said it would be the first political party to register.

They were also seen carrying attributes in the form of the PDI-P flag and the Garuda bird symbol. The long march was led by the Secretary General of the PDI-P Hasto Kristiyanto and the Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) for Election Winning, Bambang Wuriyanto.
“So today the PDI Perjuangan will register the first and, beforehand we apologize that this is Monday and the very congested transportation situation may disturb and create congestion on the highway,” said Hasto.

Hasto said that there were approximately 300 participants from the PDIP group who joined the KPU. He called today’s registration represented by the internal field.
“The total number of participants is actually 77, but the participation is increasing, many young people join, we see there are angklung, there are women who then bring kebaya clothes, there are young children, so the total is almost 300,” he said.
At around 07.55 WIB, the PDIP group arrived at the KPU, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta. There was also the accompaniment of a marching band singing the song ‘maju not afraid’ when they arrived.
Upon arrival, they along with several cadre representatives went straight to the KPU registration room.
It is known that the registration of candidates for political parties participating in the general election will be held on August 1-14, 2022. The registration time will be on August 1-13 at 08.00-16.00 WIB, while on August 14 it will take place at 08.00-23.59 WIB.
Registration can be done by the leadership of a political party or an authorized representative. Later, the KPU will recapitulate the number of party administrators and members.
