PDIP has met with Anies to run for the 2024 Jakarta regional elections

Secretary General PDIP Hurry Kristiyanto he admitted that his party had contacted him Ann Baswedan to carry on Jakarta Pilkada 2024.

Hasto said that the communication was made with the Chairman of the PDIP DPP, Ahmad Basarah or commonly known as Baskara.

Hasto said that his party only emphasized ideological commitment, alignment with the people, and the platform of the party. This includes the vision and mission, particularly in relation to spatial planning and the environment.

As long as he is retained, Hasto said, PDIP is open to nominating Anies. Hasto did not speak firmly about the conditions regarding whether Anies must be the leader for his party to support him.

According to him, identification is not always through membership identification card (KTA). More importantly, PDIP members can also be seen from their commitment to nationalism.

“As long as these things are also expressed, it has become part of awareness as a member of PD Perjuangan. Karta is well managed, indeed open,” he said.

PDIP General Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputr opened her voice about her party’s chances of carrying Anies Baswedan in Jakarta Pilkada 2024.

Megawati made this statement when she instructed her party-backed regional chief candidates at the PDIP DPP office, Jakarta, on Thursday (22/8).

Megawati did not say firmly whether they should reject or accept. However, he gave conditions that Anies would abide by party rules.

“Why did I tell you to support Mr. Anies? That’s right, if you want PDIP, if you want PDIP, don’t do that. You have to comply, right?” Megawati said in her speech.

Anies is a strong candidate as a figure to be promoted by PDIP in the regional elections of 2024 especially after the DPR passed the adoption of the Regional Elections Bill as a follow up to the decision of the Constitutional Court to withdraw the requirement of 20 percent of.
