PDIP confirms to support Pramono-Rano in Jakarta regional elections

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The General Treasurer of PDI Perjuangan, Olly Dondokambey, confirmed that his party will register Pramono Anung and Rano Karno as candidate pairs for governor and deputy governor in the Jakarta Pilkada, next Wednesday. Currently Pramono is the Cabinet Secretary and Rano is a member of the DPR. Both of them are PDI-P politicians.

“Pram (Pramono) will register tomorrow at 11 o’clock at the KPU with Rano Karno,” said Olly at the DPP PDIP Office, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 27 2024.

He explained that his party would not hold an event to announce Pramono-Rano as the candidate for governor and deputy governor in the Jakarta regional elections. “No (advertisement), immediately at registration, ok. Just cover registration. DKI KPU, ok. 11 hours (noon),” said Olly.

He did not explain when the media team asked about the views of PDI Perjuangan in naming Pramono as a candidate for governor in the Jakarta Pilkada. “The treasurer’s business is not an opinion. I asked you, so I said it,” he said.

Previously, the President of the PDI-P DPP for Resources, Said Abdullah, said that his party will almost certainly announce the support of the couple Anies Baswedan and Rano Karno as candidates for governor and deputy governor in Jakarta Pilkada.
