JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI P) said DKI’s progress under the leadership of Governor Anies Baswedan was far from when Joko Widodo, Basuki Tjahaja Purnarma, and Djarot Saiful Hidayat led.
This was stated by the Secretary General of PDI P Hasto Kristiyanto when responding to a question about which candidate his party will advance in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election.
“Because practically the progress in the last few years is still far below the progress when DKI was led by Pak Jokowi, Pak Ahok, and Pak Djarot,” said Hasto as quoted from Kompas.com Friday (7/1/2022).
PDI P, said Hasto, is currently still designing ideas about the future of DKI to accelerate Jakarta’s development.

Therefore, Hasto said that his party has not been able to decide who the regional head candidate will be in the 2024 DKI Pilkada.
Moreover, at this time the party is also preparing the party machine to win the 2024 election.
“So, for the PDI-P, the best strategic steps to take are to work downwards, to strengthen the entire political machine of the party,” he said.
Regarding the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada contestation, a number of political parties are already open about who the candidate will be.
