TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – PDI Perjuangan senior politician Hendrawan Supratikno made a statement Rocky Gerung the matter of President Joko Widodo or Jokowi going viral on social media has entered the offside alias crossing the line. In his viral statement, Rocky said Jokowi only thought of his own interests at the end of his term as President and he also made harsh words.
“Philosophy plays with the extremities of logic, narrative engineering, and imagination, building energy to challenge everything. In the expression of philosophical perfection, there is no room for pleasantries or subjective politeness. Democracy needs people like RG (Rocky Gerung). Despite judging Rocky’s statement offside, Hermawan appealed to the public to react wisely. He said Rocky was conveying public anxiety from a very gloomy side.
Regarding Rocky, who was reported by a number of people to the police due to his words, Hermawan asked all parties to calm down.
“We note the messages conveyed, the persistence shown. However, the use of diction that sparks emotional interpretations does not need to be swallowed whole,” said Hermawan. “Proof that what he says is not true. Politics is indeed the art of converting virtue into policy.”

Previously, a viral video recording showed Rocky Gerung making words that allegedly insulted President Joko Widodo. In the recording, Rocky Gerung mentioned Jokowi only thinking about his own interests at the end of his tenure as President. Rocky also throws some harsh words.
“If he doesn’t become president, he will become an ordinary citizen, but Jokowi’s ambition will be to maintain his legacy. He went to China to offer IKN, he went back and forth from one coalition to another to find clarity about himself,” said Rocky.
“He only thinks about his own destiny, doesn’t think about our fate,” continued Rocky in the video.
As a result of this statement, a number of Jokowi’s volunteer organizations consisting of Barricade 98, Foreder, Sekber Jokowi Nusantara, ABJ, JPKP, SOLMET, United Indonesia Volunteers, Barisan Pembaruan, AKAR, Indonesia Today (IHI), SEKNAS, and Bara JP, came to Bareskrim on Monday at 15.30 WIB to make a police report. They were furious because Rocky was thought to have cursed President Jokowi in harsh words.
“Today we saw the video Rocky Gerungand this is a statement that can be categorized as an insult to the President,” said Barricade 98 chairman Benny Rhamdani.
