PDI Perjuangan DPD Chairman Explains Mistake in Sending Invitation to Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka

Jakarta

Chairman of the Central Java PDI Perjuangan DPD, Bambang Wuryanto (Bambang Pacul) explained the reasons why the invitation to the Mayor of Solo was not sent Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The invitation was for a Central Java PDIP meeting entitled ‘Consolidating the Thoughts of Regional Heads of Party Cadres in Facing the Current Situation and Towards Elections’. How did it happen?

This was conveyed by Bambang Pacul on the Total Politik YouTube channel, as seen detikcom, Saturday (19/8/2023). Bambang Pacul said that there was an error when marking the sending of the invitations.

He said the officer who carried out the delivery and checking felt that he had sent an invitation to Gibran, so Gibran’s name was crossed out as a sign that the invitation had been sent. He admitted that this error occurred because at the same time the officer was summoned by the secretariat.

“It hasn’t been sent yet because at that time he felt the case had been sent, it had been crossed out (marked), but not yet. Because at that time the secretary who was working on this was summoned,” said Bambang Pacul.

He said this was human error. According to him, mistakes can happen to anyone, but this time it was the invitation to Gibran.

“The deputy mayor came in. Because it was the last time, right, Mas Gibran then the new deputy mayor,” he said.

“Human error can hit anyone, so I was surprised when I was asked. If I’m wrong, I’m definitely sorry,” he continued.

Previously, Bambang Pacul explained that at night after the event was held on Tuesday (15/8), his party immediately summoned the secretaries to check the reason for Gibran’s absence.

After checking, it was discovered that the invitation for Gibran had not been sent. Bambang Pacul said this was a mistake and mistake by the PDI Perjuangan DPD.

“We just found out, it turns out that the invitation wasn’t sent. So that was our fault. The DPD was wrong, of course people were wrong, yes, the name of the person who was wrong apologized,” he said.

He admitted that he would convey a formal apology to Gibran. According to him, this incident was purely due to human error.

“Surely there will be an official apology later, this is purely human error. Because this is human error, we will later apologize officially, as well as deliver new invitations, so that it is truly hand to hand so there are no more mistakes,” he said.
