JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said that his party would announce the name of its vice presidential candidate (cawapres) partner Ganjar Pranowo on Wednesday (18/10/2023) at 10.00 WIB.
However, Hasto did not mention the location where Ganjar’s vice presidential candidate was announced.
“Mrs. Megawati emphasized that the PDI-P DPP will coordinate with the TPN Ganjar President team, so that tomorrow on Wednesday 18 October 2023 at 10.00 sharp it will be announced who the deputy candidate will accompany Mr Ganjar,” said Hasto at the residence of PDI-P Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri , Jalan Teuku Umar, Jakarta, Tuesday (17/10/2023).

Asked about the initials of the vice presidential candidate who would be announced, Hasto was reluctant to convey it clearly.
He only said that Ganjar’s cawapres had the initials Indonesia Raya.
“The initials are Indonesia Raya for Indonesia Raya for the people of Indonesia for mutual progress,” he added.
Furthermore, Hasto emphasized that Megawati had carefully considered the figure of vice presidential candidate Ganjar.
This scrutiny, said Hasto, has been carried out for a long time.

“So Ms. Mega’s meeting can be held in a public space, so there is nothing to hide. So please wait patiently for tomorrow’s announcement,” said Hasto.
Previously, Ganjar Pranowo gave a signal that his running mate would be announced tomorrow.
This was conveyed after being asked whether the name of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD had been strengthened to become his vice presidential candidate. As if reluctant to comment further, Ganjar stated that the question of the vice presidential candidate’s initials would be answered tomorrow.
“The initials are tomorrow, tomorrow yes. The initials are tomorrow,” said Ganjar repeatedly, when met at the Kompas Tower, Jakarta, Tuesday.
Asked about his relationship with Mahfud, Ganjar answered that he was fine.
However, this good relationship was not only built by Ganjar with Mahfud.
“My relationship with all the people (cawapres candidates) that friends often write about is good. Everyone,” emphasized the former Governor of Central Java.
