PDI-P is vastly superior, Golkar-Gerindra-Democrat are in close competition

Jakarta

Research and Consulting Saiful Mujani (SMRC extension) published a poll on the eligibility of political parties. In this survey, eligibility PDIP extension superior with a very significant number compared to other parties.

This survey was conducted from December 3 to 11, 2022 with a total sample of 1,029 respondents. The investigation was conducted by randomly selecting samples using the multistage random sampling method.

Selected interviewees were then interviewed face-to-face. The margin of error for this survey is estimated at +-3.1% with a 95% confidence level.

In this poll, respondents were asked if the elections for DPR members were held now, which party or candidate would you vote for? SMRC offers 18 political parties.

As many as 17 of them were determined as participants in the elections. Meanwhile, SMRC also offers the opportunity to include parties outside of electoral competitors.

“We display the names of 18 political parties in our survey and we also give respondents the opportunity to respond to party names outside the list we provide,” said SMRC Research Director Deni Irvani in a broadcast survey release. on YouTube SMRC, Sunday (18/12 /2022).

As a result, the PDIP’s eligibility seems very high with the vote reaching 24.1%. This figure is very different from the eligibility of political parties which are in the following order.

“Among the existing parties, PDIP seems to have excelled in the December poll with 24.1% support, then the next position is Golkar 9.4%, Gerindra 8.9%, Democrats 8.9%. So the distance is significant since PDIP, we are very confident or PIDP still gets the most support from the people,” he said.

Deni said the figures for the three post-PDIP parties, namely Golkar, Gerindra and Democrats, looked slightly different. He said the three sides were competing for second place.

“Meanwhile, the support for Golkar, Gerindra and Democrats is not significantly different, only 0-0.5%. So it cannot be concluded which one is stronger, what is certain is that these 3 parties are fiercely competing for the second placed after the PDIP”. he said.

Deni said there were still 20.9 respondents who said they hadn’t made their choice. She said the number would usually decrease if the campaign period started.

“Firstly, we note that there are still 20.9 percent of residents who have not yet made their choice of political party, this is still a lot of waiting and it shows. Usually the trend will start to decrease when a official campaign,” he said.
