“Even if there is this dramatic war in Ukraine, we must not forget that there is an electoral campaign in our country, a presidential election which will commit the country for years to come”, begins Roland Cazeneuve. “And there are important subjects, purchasing power, but also health, inequalities are widening, with more and more frequent overruns of fees, and the non-practice of third-party payment in the private sector, more and more French people do not have access to healthcare. It is therefore a crucial question, which is not addressed by right-wing and far-right candidates, and in their projects, it only appears there. in terms of cost, not as a need to be satisfied. However, the needs for training, additional resources and equipment are enormous, especially in the public hospital service, which has been constantly weakened for years by successive governments. As a result, our hospitals are purged of their means, particularly in terms of staff, working conditions are so degraded that we are witnessing massive departures, to change lives or slide into the private or liberal sectors, which further aggravates the situation. affects all hospitals in France and t does not spare our four departmental establishments, forced to close services, even establishments, as is the case soon for those of Tarbes and Lourdes, in the project of this sinister single hospital project, which will see a further reduction in the number of beds.”
