PBNU Overhauls Management for 2022-2027 Period: Changes to Executive Board and Chairmen

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board has overhauled its management for the 2022-2027 solemn period.

Reporting from the official PBNU website, nu.or.id, the change was stated in the management change letter Number 01.b/AII/04/06/2023 and dismissed three administrators from the position of chairman.

“In the letter, PBNU respectfully dismissed KH Amiruddin Nahrawi, H Ulyas Taha, and H Robikin Emhas from the positions of Chairman of PBNU,” wrote the official PBNU website.

Apart from the three chairmen, PBNU also dismissed General Treasurer Mardani H Maming who was caught in a corruption case and replaced him with Ahmad Nadzir, Burhanuddin Mochsen and Ashari Tambunan.

Apart from that, PBNU also appointed Masyhuri Malik, who served as a PBNU officer, to become Chair of BBNU, Nusron Wahid was also demoted from the position of Deputy General Chair of PBNU to become Head of division at PBNU.

Meanwhile, the name Amin Said Husni, who originally served as Head of the division at PBNU, was promoted to Deputy General Chair of PBNU.

PBNU appointed H Mohammad Jusuf Hamka, who was originally Chairman of PBNU, to become PBNU Treasurer, H Gudfan Arif, who was originally PBNU Treasurer, to become PBNU General Treasurer, and H Fahmy Akbar Idries, who was originally PBNU Treasurer, to become Chairman of PBNU.

Meanwhile, H Mohammad Faesal, who was originally Deputy Secretary General of PBNU, was appointed Chairman of PBNU.

Several other names include A Suaedy and KH Ulil Abshar Abdalla as Chairman of PBNU, as well as Hj Safira Machrusah, H Amir Ma’ruf, and H Ahmad Ginanjar Sya’ban as Deputy Secretary General of PBNU.

The issuance of this decree also confirms that PBNU Decree Number 01/A.II.04/01/2022 dated 9 Jumadil Akhir 1443 H/12 January 2022 AD concerning Ratification of PBNU for the 2022-2027 solemn period is no longer valid.

Through this decision, PBNU also emphasized to the administrators to carry out their duties guided by the Nahdlatul Ulama’s Articles of Association, Bylaws and regulations stipulated in the NU deliberations.
