In a statement, the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Corporation called on “all subscribers to pay the water fees incurred by them, for the year 2023 and before, through: specialized collectors, distribution circuit funds, electronic payment machines, POS machines, and online money transfer company OMT centers.”
And it apologized “currently to its subscribers for the possibility of meeting the payment service via electronic payment on the institution’s website lb.gov.ebml or the mobile app ebml, for reasons beyond its control and it is working hard to activate the service again.”
She indicated that, “given the current economic conditions, I decided to issue the following decisions:
1- By installments of overdue allowances for the years prior to the year 2023, for a period not exceeding December 2025.
2- Facilitating the process of obtaining new subscriptions for previous subscribers whose owners still owe debts, as they can be paid in installments for a maximum period of December 2025.
3- Reducing the fee for establishing new subscriptions for buildings connected to water networks by:
– (40%) for water subscriptions by caliber.
– (24%) for water meter subscriptions.
4- Reducing the fee for changing the subscribers’ names by (90%).
5- Reduction of the temporary subscription renewal fee by (90%).
6- Installment allowances for the year 2023 up to two installments, detailed as follows:
In two installments due before the end of a month
June first
the second of December
And it considered that “this announcement is a personal notification to each subscriber and definitively the factor of the passage of time.”
