Payday 3 Development Diary Highlights Unique Robberies and Enhanced Gameplay Features

The authors of Payday 3 have published the fifth development diary. The main theme was robberies, of which there will be eight on the release. The goal of the developers was to make sure that each case of the gang had its own identity.

As previously known, burglars will not always be handcuffed or attacked upon detection. This is done so that the plan during the game can be unexpectedly disrupted, but this will lead to a quick change to another tactic.

Hidden passage has expanded significantly. If before, for almost every action, you had to wear a mask, then in Payday 3 you can do a lot without it, just using your smartphone. It is worth being wary of civilians, and especially employees of the institution that the gang is going to rob. If you take someone prisoner and keep them with you, then the police will be much more careful: they will switch to flash grenades instead of gas ones, stop using shotguns.

Depending on the complexity, different security companies will protect the goals of the gang, which will affect the number and variety of traps. Since the release of Payday 2, the world has changed significantly, as well as security systems, so it’s worth waiting for various new items. The robbers’ arsenal will also be replenished with modern tools, including hacking.

Enemies will become much more “alive” and will react to different situations. For example, if a bulldozer joins them, then the commando can ask other law enforcement officers to give way to him – this will be a hint for the players as well.

Closed testing began today in Payday 3, but a limited number of players got into it. And the release will take place on September 21 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The game will have Denuvo protection.
