Paweł Nowisz was born on January 15, 1940 in Warsaw. In 1963, he graduated from the Puppetry Department of the PWST in Krakow, and a year later the Acting Department. He made his debut in 1964. Two years later he won an award for the role of a priest in “Dziady” at the 6th Kalisz Theater Meetings.
He is best known to the public for such productions as: “Zmiennicy”, “Controlled Conversations”, “40 Years Later”, “Pułkownik Kwiatkowski”, “Fuks”, “Money is not everything” or “Różyczka”. In recent years, he could be seen in “Prawie Agata”, “Silent Night” or the new installment of the “Koge-mogel” series, with which he was associated from the second part.
He performed in the following theaters: Polski in Bielsko-Biała (1964-67), Stanisław Wyspiański in Katowice (1967-68), Juliusz Osterwa in Lublin (1970-75), Współczesny in Wrocław (1975-79), Stefan Jaracz in Łódź (1979-81), National in Warsaw (1981-85), New in Warsaw (1985-93), Rozmaitości in Warsaw (1991), Aleksandra Fredry in Gniezno (1992), Szwedzka 2/4 in Warsaw (1994), Na Woli in Warsaw (1995-98), Współczesny in Warsaw (1995, 2002), Muzyczny in Lublin (2002).
Graduate of the 6th Secondary School of General Education Tadeusz Reytan in Warsaw. In 1963, he graduated from the Puppetry Department of the PWST in Krakow, and a year later from the Acting Department of that school. He made his debut on September 10, 1964. In 1966, he received an award for a young actor for the role of the priest in “Dziady” at the 6th Kalisz Theater Meetings. In 1972 he received the Silver Mask Award in Lublin. In 1974, he received two awards: the Artistic Award of the Lublin Voivode and the Provincial National Council in Lublin.
His wife was actress Wanda Wieszczycka-Nowisz.
