After being delayed due to heavy rain yesterday, Sunday (21/11), Race 1 WSBK Mandalika 2021 can finally be held. The postponement of the 2021 WSBK Mandalika Race 1 schedule was mentioned due to the failure of the rain handler at the Mandalika Circuit.
The issue went viral on social media after Race 1 failed to be held. However, the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara, Zulkieflimansyah, ensured that the rain handler that was prepared was assistance from the Indonesian Air Force who used the latest technology to divert the rain from the Mandalika Circuit.
Regardless of the issue of rain handlers being used for WSBK races or not, Race 1 WSBK Mandalika went smoothly without any weather disturbances and was won by Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK rider Jonathan Rea.
