Pavement reconstruction works completed on the road Cēsis – Vecpiebalga – Madona / Article / LSM.lv

Reconstruction works of the Cēsis – Vecpiebalga – Madona motorway (P30) in the section from Vecpiebalga to Inķēnkalns (kilometers 49.06-61.13) were completed this autumn, but in the summer also pavement restoration works in the section from Bērzkrogs to Melļi (14.98-24) , 62 km) in Priekuli and Vecpiebalga counties, informed “Latvijas Valsts ceļi”.

During construction works in Vecpiebalga region on the road section from 49.06. to 61.13. new pavement foundations and culverts were built per kilometer, two layers of asphalt were laid, as well as the sediment caused by the slip at the 59th kilometer section was removed. The construction work was carried out by the joint-stock company “Trev-2 Grupp” at a contract price of 7.476 million euros (including value added tax (VAT)), which was 85 percent co-financed by the ERDF.

In the section from Bērzkrogs to Meļļi, surface treatment was performed after repair of sediments and repair of road profile. These works were carried out by 8 CBR for a contract price of EUR 264 969 (including VAT), which was covered by an additional EUR 75 million from the state budget.

The pavement on this road has recently been rebuilt in several other sections:

• In 2016 in the section from Melli to Breezz Hill (24.60-38.00 kilometers),
• In 2017 in the section from Breenge Hill to Vecpiebalga (38.00-49.00 km),
• In 2018 in the section from Cesis to Priekuli (2.15 to 8.02 km).

Reconstructions were carried out with the help of ERDF co-financing.
