Pavaratti : The curtain has gone up on the village film festival organized by Valakattupadam Devasurya Kalavedi and Pavaratti Janaki Film Vedi.
Director P.T. Kunju Muhammad inaugurated. Elavalli Panchayat President Jio Fox presided. The fair started with the screening of the documentary ‘Pavarotti’s Historical Paths’. The short films Duthan, Nerchapetti, Upanath and Wonderman were screened and the main film Pada was shown.
Many people came to enjoy the movie by drinking chukkapi and nibbling on kapandi in the padam of Pazama, which has been specially set up in the Palakkattupadam. Lyricist Chandran Peruvallur and actor Sailu Chappie were honored at the function.
Rafi Neelankavil, Sridevi Davis, M. Nalin Babu, Subramanian Iripassery, K.C. Abhilash,
Reggie Valakatupadam, Jason Guruvayur and Jason Araikal spoke. The fair will conclude with the distribution of John Abraham awards on Sunday.
