Paulo Sousa leads the first training camp at Ninho do Urubu; watch video – Flamengo

First activity was closely monitored by all members of the technical committee

Flamengo is starting the 2022 pre-season and had the first training session under the command of Paulo Sousa this Tuesday (11). The cast reappeared around 8:00 am (Brasília time) and went to the field after carrying out exams at the CT.

The athletes of the main cast had their first activity with Paulo Sousa. In addition to the coach, the technical commission was also observing the training and giving some guidelines to the players. The club’s official profile released a video of this first training session for 2022.

In addition, as mentioned, before going to the field, the athletes performed a battery of exams. The main objective is to identify the nutritional, vitamin and mineral deficit and, consequently, monitor the level of immunity for Covid-19.

The working morning also had a special time in the physiology sector. Athletes performed tests to assess muscle mass indices, percentage of fat and hydration, ascertain the risk of injury and adequate training loads.

After the activities, the cast remained at the CT for lunch, as one of the recommendations of the new technical commission is the mandatory meal at Ninho do Urubu. It should be noted that the use of telephone at this time is prohibited.
