Paulo André traveled to the Pan American Games in Santiago willing to dedicate his competition for his two-year-old son, ‘PAzinho’, who will have to undergo surgery in the next few days. The sprinter felt a problem with his foot tendon during the 100m semifinal and is out of the decision. Right after the test, he didn’t hide his concern for the little one. The head is in Chile and the heart is in Brazil.

“I’m not going to say that I’m at peace. My son is going through a difficult time with his health. It’s nothing serious, nothing at risk. But only those who are fathers and mothers understand. I came here for him. I came here, because I I know that one day he will be proud to watch this. He still doesn’t see it, because he is two years old and doesn’t understand, right, but one day he will see it”, highlighted Paulo André.

After talking a lot with the doctor responsible for the surgery, Paulo André understood that it would be possible to participate in the Games, as the procedure will not be carried out during the period. The professional is the same one who performed an operation on the baby as soon as he was born two years ago.
