Pauline Augustyn and Tinneke van Ransbeeck are the winners of the NTR Podcast Award 2022. Their podcasts were awarded the first and second prize respectively in TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht on Sunday, the NTR has announced.

Augustyn made with The Village of Fools a dramatized documentary about an inexplicable plague of madmen in a French village in 1951. “Bold and cool”, the jury called this entry in its jury report. “The semi-fictional form is intriguing, the actors are convincing and the sound design is beautiful and layered.”

The second prize went to Van Ransbeeck for her documentary Stormjager, about three Dutch people who hunt for thunderstorms and tornadoes. According to the jury, “an entry with a lot of air and humor, colorful figures and a poetic narrative”.

The NTR Podcast Prize is an incentive prize for young podcast makers from the Netherlands and Belgium. The jury chose the winners from ten nominees.

The prize was awarded for the 32nd time this year. The prize was previously awarded under the name NTR Radio Prize.
