Paula Bergström ready for Frölunda

Frölunda is gearing up for the upcoming SDHL season. As the last signing, Paula Bergström is brought in, who has played three consecutive World Cups for Sweden.
– Paula did a great WC now, I think she was one of Sweden’s best slopes, says Kim Martin Hasson.

Frölunda is going to break Luleå’s dominance and is really at the forefront when it comes to the team building for next season. Already in the middle of April, the squad has been nailed down, and they are not bad new acquisitions they have picked up.

In the past, for example, the Finnish stars Elisa Holopainen and Emilia Vesa have joined, as well as an exciting back in Nathalie Lidman from Leksand.

And now they tighten the bow even further and bring in Olympic and WC seasoned Paula Bergström.

– A defensive back who is good at stopping the game. She plays fairly simple hockey, but does it properly and with good aggressiveness, says sports director Kim Martin Hasson.

Paula Bergström opts out of MoDo

Paula Bergström was as late as last week in Utica and represented Sweden in the WC. During the season, she has played for Minnesota-Duluth in the NCAA college league and also has a past in MoDo.

Next season there will therefore be games in Frölunda and Gothenburg.

– Paula did a great WC now, I think she was one of Sweden’s best slopes. I think I’ve seen a nice offensive development recently and we can help develop that side even more.
