Actor Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in 2013, will posthumously receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as singer Jenny Rivera, who was killed in a plane crash in 2012, Deadline said.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced 24 celebrities from the fields of cinema, music, theater, television, who will receive stars on the Walk of Fame in 2023.
Also on the list are Mark Anthony, Jonas Brothers, Lenny Kravitz, Blake Shelton, Ludacris, Uma Thurman, Vince Vaughn, Ellen Pompeo, Mindy Keiling, and pianist Lang Lang.
The idea for the Walk of Fame originated in 1953. The first star was installed on the sidewalk on August 15, 1958. It honored the actor Preston Foster.
The official opening ceremony of the Walk of Fame was on November 23, 1960. At present, the stars of the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame are over 2700.
