Paul van Riessen succeeds Sander Schimmelpenninck as editor in chief Quote | NOW

Paul van Riessen is the new editor-in-chief of the magazine Quote. He succeeds Sander Schimmelpenninck, who announced his departure at the end of last year.

49-year-old Van Riessen has been working for years Quote and has been deputy editor-in-chief since 2010. “It is a great honor to be able to lead this brand and thus to follow in the footsteps of illustrious predecessors such as Jort Kelder and Sander Schimmelpenninck”, he said on Monday at the website from Quote.

To the design of Quote Van Riessen will not change anything. “Although we will of course use new techniques that will allow us to deliver our messages to our readers through even more channels.”

Schimmelpenninck was editor-in-chief of Quote. He resigned to focus on his “favorite pastimes”: writing and entrepreneurship, partly in Sweden, where his girlfriend lives. Schimmelpenninck also stopped presenting the talk show On 1 on NPO1 and is his role as presenter of Dragon’s Den taken over by Jort Kelder.
