Bola.net – Manchester United legend Paul Scholes commented on the process of Sevilla’s first goal in the early hours of the morning. He admitted that he couldn’t stop thinking about what Harry Maguire was doing at that time.
Early this morning, Manchester United visited Sevilla headquarters for the second leg of the 2022/2023 Europa League quarter-finals. In this match, Manchester United fell 3-0.
One of the reasons in this match was that MU conceded a quick goal. Just six minutes into the match, Youssef En-Neysri managed to break into David De Gea’s goal.
The goal occurred because there was a blunder from David De Gea who gave bait to Harry Maguire even though there were three players near the defender. As a result, En-Neysri won the ball and scored a goal.

To BT Sports, Paul Scholes tried to understand what happened when Sevilla’s first goal was created.
He admitted that he was surprised to see Maguire’s courage in asking for bait from De Gea without looking at the surrounding conditions.
“You have to give him credit [Maguire]because he was very confident when he asked for the ball at that time,” said Scholes.

According to Scholes, Maguire’s confidence at that time was not accompanied by the defender’s ability to deal with pressure.
He said Maguire was anxious to ask for the ball even though he did not have the ability to withstand the pressure from Sevilla’s attackers.
“I can think of only one defender in the whole world who can ask for the ball when he’s surrounded and can get past an opponent’s challenge, and I can say Harry Maguire is not the defender I mean,” he added.
