Paul Riley, a gambling enthusiast and animal lover, became the lucky winner of a $4 million prize of dollars in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s ‘100X Cash’ lottery game.
When going to collect his prize, Riley chose the option of receiving a lump sum payment of $2,600,000.
The other option he had was to collect the full $4 million, but in annual payments for 30 years.
The man bought his winning ticket at the Summit Variety convenience store in the city of Peabody.
Riley went to the Massachusetts Lottery headquarters to collect his money accompanied by his four-legged best friend, a little dog named Raven.
Riley told lottery officials that he plans to donate part of his new fortune to an animal rescue group.
In addition, the winner intends to pamper his wife with a new car.
Summit Variety, the store that sold the winning ticket, will receive a extra commission of $40,000 dollars.
In the 100X Cash game, the chance of winning the jackpot is 1 in 5,376,000, according to the State Lottery.
