Paul Pogba has not been in service for Manchester United since October, a persistent hamstring injury ordered him this long mandatory break. But not only his return to the competitive pitch occupies the English record champions.

According to Sky Sport News, Pogba’s primary focus is on getting fit again as he is dying to play under Ralf Rangnick. “He has been very impressed with every conversation he has had with the Manchester United caretaker manager,” reports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The monetary should not play a role in Pogba’s future decision, instead it is a decision that affects the sporting aspects. United are said to have presented the world champion with a well-paid contract offer, which he has so far neither accepted nor rejected. Staying at Old Trafford is far from off the table.

So does Sheth, who says: “The fact is that this contract offer is probably higher than any other contract offer he could get from any other European club.” Recently it was said that Paris Saint-Germain took pole position in the Pogba race. It will probably be some time before a decision is made.
