MANCHESTER Paul pogba and Amad Diallo carried the flag Palestine while applauding the return of Manchester United supporters to Old Trafford. United welcomed 10,000 fans back to the stadium during a 1-1 draw by Fulham in the last home game in the Premier League this season.

After the match, Pogba and Diallo showed their appreciation to the returning fans with applause. They carry Palestinian flags, amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Pogba and Diallo are the third and fourth Premier League players to show their support for Palestine in recent days. Earlier, Leicester City stars Wesley Fofana and Hamza Choudhury carried the Palestinian flag after their team won 1-0 over Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

Party English Football Association FA alone does not allow teams and individuals to display political symbols in order to maintain impartiality. The governing body insisted: “Sport and in this regard football should not be used as a platform for politics or racism.”

But Leicester’s players have faced no action as the Palestinian flag is recognized internationally. The FA has not investigated the common use of the internationally recognized national flag on the playing field or in stadiums.
