After an almost blank season, Paul Pogba finally seemed to be able to get back on track, but the struggle continues. The 2018 World Champion tested positive in an anti-doping test and is at very high risk, with a possible four-year suspension which could well be synonymous with the end of his career.
We thought the curse was over, but Paul Pogba seems more than ever with his back to the wall. The Frenchman tested positive on August 20 for testosterone, a product he apparently ingested through a medication recommended by a doctor friend living in Miami. However, this product is considered doping and Pogba therefore risks a suspension of one to four years.
Pogba could leave Juventus
Italian media reported that the mid-30-year-old allegedly confessed to the Juventus having ingested this medication containing testosterone, however refuting having done so intentionally. He would have requested a second opinion, but pessimism currently reigns in Turin, where there are already thoughts of a departure from Paul Pogba. Several sources such as Tuttosport and La Gazzetta dello Sport even speak of a potential termination of contract without compensation, while the Frenchman is linked to the Bianconeri until 2026.
Allegri does not want a replacement
According to information from TMW, the leaders of the Juventus have tested the waters to find a potential replacement for Paul Pogba a few months before the winter transfer window. The names mentioned are those of Manu Kone of Borussia Mönchengladbach, Khéphren Thuram of the’OGC Nice or Habib Diarra of RC Strasbourg. Yet, Massimiliano Allegri would have announced that it was not necessary to look for a new environment because he would like to give more space to young people like Fabio Miretti, but also the Turkish nugget Kenan Yildiz.
