WHAT HAPPENED? Paul Pogba has failed a doping test by NADO, the Italian anti-doping agency. The Juventus midfielder faces being banned for four years.
“The National Anti-doping Court informs that, in accepting the case submitted by the National Anti-doping Prosecutor, the court has determined the provisional suspension of athlete Paul Laible Pogba,” read a statement from NADO as reported by AFP.
WHAT THEY SAID: Not long after that, Juve immediately issued an official statement, which read: “Juventus Football Club announces that today, 11 September 2023, footballer Paul Labile Pogba received a preventive suspension from the National Anti-Doping Court following the results of a test carried out on 20 August 2023 “The club reserves the right to consider the next procedural steps.”
