Career Paul Pogba threatened to end due to doping cases. Anti-doping prosecutors charged him with a four-year suspension.
Paul Pogba tested positive for doping in testing last September. After two urine tests, the 30-year-old was positive for DHEA which helps increase testosterone.
Midfielder Juventus It chose not to take the option of agreeing with Italy’s anti-doping authorities. That means he will go to trial.
Prosecutors asked for a four-year ban for the French player. At his current age, this punishment has the potential to end his career.
A four-year ban is a standard punishment under the World Anti-Doping Code. The penalty can be reduced if the athlete can prove that the doping substance was still inadvertent.
With the threat of punishment facing Pogba, Juventus is believed to be considering terminating his contract. Pogba’s contract with Bianconeri still valid until June 2028.
Paul Pogba is currently suspended from the team. He has only played twice this season after recovering from injury, with a total playing time of 52 minutes.
