Paul Pogba denied doping allegations when he was suspended after testing positive for testosterone.
Last week it was announced that the player’s B test was also positive.
According to French L’Equipe, Juventus have ported the player from the club’s training facility and Gazetta dello Sport state that Juventus are expected to break the contract with the French star midfielder, which runs until 2026.
If Pogba is found guilty of doping offences, he risks a suspension of up to four years.
Victor Nilsson Lindelöf is friends with Pogba after they played together at Manchester United. He feels sorry for the midfielder.
– I don’t know the whole story behind it and what has and hasn’t happened, so I can’t go into any details. It is clear that it is very sad for him, he has had a few tough years behind him with injuries and other things, he says and continues:
– I hope that it works out in a good way for him so that he can come back and play football again, because he is a very good football player. I hope it works out for the best for him.
Have you contacted him about it?
– I have good contact with him, but what we talk about remains private.
