Paul McCartney Appreciates Dolly Parton’s Version of ‘Let It Be’ on New Rock Album

Legendary British musician Paul McCartney has admitted that he “really likes” the version of the song he once wrote, “Let It Be”, which has now been recorded by American country star Dolly Parton for her rock album.

McCartney thanked Parton for including the song on her new album Rockstar. The musician also admitted that he was pleased that he could “be by her side” during the recording of the song.

“Rockstar” is Parton’s first rock album and will be released in November.

In a recent interview with the platform “TalkShopLive”, Parton admitted that she had inadvertently arranged a reunion of “all the living Beatles”, having worked with both McCartney and Ringo Starr.

“Could there be anything better than singing ‘Let It Be’ with Paul McCartney, who wrote the song? Not only that, he also played the piano,” Parton later tweeted.

“However, it was even better when Ringo Starr joined on drums and Mick Fleetwood played percussion,” admitted the musician.

“But seriously, how much better can it get? Thanks guys,” added the musician.

“Thanks, Dolly, for recording my song,” McCartney replied.

“I really like your version and I’m glad I could be with you in this work,” added the musician.
