Australian Paul Hogan (83) is known to many for his “Crocodile Dundee” films.
In the films, Hogan played the role of Mick Dundee, a highly trained legend who catches crocodiles with bare fists.
Reveal: He has incurable cancer
Life today is completely different from when he was young. Now the actor is struggling with an illness.
– He was weak
In an interview with A topical story he tells the former muscle pack that he struggled with “dramatic weight loss” and lost muscle after being diagnosed with retroperitoneal fibrosis.
According to PEDIATRIC it is a rare autoimmune disease characterized by new retroperitoneal tissue formation following chronic inflammation and marked connective tissue formation.
This causes the ureters and other organs in the abdominal cavity to pinch and the passage of urine from the kidneys to the bladder is inhibited.
Hogan revealed that the benign growth is putting pressure on both his heart and kidneys.
– I lost all body fat and muscle, everything fell apart. I had to get Chance (his son, journ.anm.) To open the jars for me.
Worried after this
The actor has been prescribed corticosteroids to slow his growth, but now he needs to regain his strength after the diagnosis has radically changed his physique.
– My friends on a diet hate me because I try to eat all the fatty foods that come to mind. Anything they can’t eat. But I’m not putting on an ounce.
Willing to move home
The illness also led him to want to leave his home in Venice Beach, California, which is priced at over 35 million Norwegian kroner. The “Crocodile Dundee” star lives there with her son Chance (24).
Now, however, he wants to return to a quiet life in his home country of Australia, he says.
In addition to the crocodile hunter movie series, Hogan has appeared in such films as “Flipper” and the “Open Slather” comedy series.
