Paul George injured his knee (hyperextension)…

Paul George injured his knee last night during a preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks. We are already talking about hyperextension and a potential absence of several weeks for the winger.

Oh the tile for the Sixers! Announced among the favorites of the Eastern Conference behind their new Big 3 (Embiid – George – Maxey), the Philadelphia franchise already saw itself playing eye to eye with Boston this season. For this of course, the executives would have to be all on their two feet, a recurring problem on the Philly side. Already yesterday, we learned that Joel Embiid would probably not play any back-to-back this season.

Much more annoying news, Paul George was injured last night due to a bad movement of his knee in defense. Released at the start of the second quarter, the winger quickly returned to the locker room to never return to the game.

Sixers say Paul George’s injury is a left knee hyperextension.

We will have to wait for the test results from now on to know the seriousness of the injury and the player’s unavailability but we could talk about several weeks of absence for PG8 if the diagnosis is confirmed. Enough to delay his official debut with Philly and the automatisms to build with his teammates. Last year, Paul George averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists. The most coveted free agent of the summer, he agreed to sign a huge contract of 212 million over 4 years with the Sixers. His adventure in Philly doesn’t start as he expected.
