S Club, formerly known as S Club 7, has spoken out in a new interview about the death of their beloved colleague Paul Cattermole. The members expressed their concerns about Paul’s well-being and revealed that they had been trying to reach out to him before his passing.
Jo O’Meara, one of the remaining members, shared that everyone in the group was worried about Paul. They were in the midst of preparing for their tour and had regular contact with each other. However, three days before Paul was found dead in his home, they noticed that he became increasingly unreachable. O’Meara mentioned that nobody could get in touch with Paul, and his messages on WhatsApp remained unread. They began to wonder if everything was okay, but also acknowledged that it was not uncommon for Paul to be unresponsive.
In the days leading up to his death, the other members of S Club made several attempts to reach out to Paul. O’Meara revealed that she called and messaged him, but nobody was successful in getting through to him. Eventually, Jo received the devastating news from her management. She described her reaction as being completely shocked and devastated.
Despite the loss of their colleague, S Club is still planning to go on tour. As a tribute to Paul, they renamed the tour “The Good Times Tour,” referencing one of their songs where Cattermole’s vocals shine. The tour is set to begin in October, but it will be without Hannah Spearritt, who decided to leave the group after Paul’s death. The band now consists of five members.
In other news related to S Club, the group recently released a new single after twenty years in memory of Paul Cattermole. Additionally, the cause of Paul’s death has finally been revealed. Fans can also look forward to a potential reunion tour by S Club 7 in the future.
