/ world today news/ “United Patriots” will not support a cabinet without their demands for pensions, the border and domestic crime. This was stated by the co-chairman of the PF and part of the “United Patriots” Krasimir Karakachanov.
Regarding the request of the RB that they will start talks to support a government with the third mandate, it became clear from Karakachanov’s words that no talks have been held with the patriots and there is no request for such. Maybe they want to have a serious conversation with GERB first, suggested the PF co-chairman.
“We have said yes to a government that has a very clear program. You heard our things when we talked about what kind of government we would make. First of all, pensioners’ incomes and an increase in the minimum pension. For working people, I emphasize, as there is a lot of speculation, that we want to increase all pensions. No, the pensions of those Bulgarian citizens who have work and social security experience”, specified Karakachanov.
He explained that the “United Patriots” are in favor of a much tougher position and policy in protecting the border. “It is good that the fence was built, but this fence must be guarded by someone because there are many cases, literally every day, where migrants cut the net and enter. Second, it means a much more serious military presence on the border. The third thing we have talked about many times is dealing with domestic crime. If they are included as main priorities and are brought out with deadlines, we can talk seriously”, explained Krasimir Karakachanov.
Asked if the PF will not support a cabinet if these three points are not supported, Karakachanov pointed out that otherwise the patriots would look like people who stuck to being in the National Assembly at all costs. In recent weeks, nothing useful has been happening in the parliament, what is the point, asked Krasimir Karakachanov. The question was whether a government could be made that would be useful for the country and not be some kind of mimicry, he added.
Regarding whether the patriots do not feel neglected, he stated that no, on the contrary, they feel respected by the fact that several embassies in Sofia and a chamber of Eurobureaucrats from Brussels are committed to influencing the government, the president and GERB so that they do not be given the mandate to us. “It means someone is disturbed by our presence. They will have to worry even more after the parliamentary elections”, convinced Karakachanov. According to him, the intervention of “embassies and bureaucrats is insulting to the state”.
“When a country is governed by several embassies in Sofia and by some people in Brussels, who do not bear any responsibility for the future and the fate of Bulgarian citizens, it is insulting to those who consider themselves. We do not bow down to Brussels, Washington, or Moscow,” said Karakachanov.
Regarding the RB’s idea of an expert cabinet, Karakachanov explained that, according to the United Patriots, there is nothing wrong with an expert cabinet, as long as they are really experts and not under the guise of being party creatures.
