Operations that follow the fall of small stones that could be observed last year. “It was a sign of a need to act; thus, a first intervention had then taken place in order to carry out a diagnosis and to secure the assembly. “The goal is to restore identically”

An operation started at the beginning of October and which will prevent stones – a little larger than those – which can weigh 250 to 300 kg from falling on the building or even on the roadway. “With time and inclement weather, some elements start to crumble. »Normal wear, but it should be taken care of. “The stones that threaten will be probed to ensure their solidity. When necessary, the elements which present a problem will be taken out to be replaced or recut. The goal is to restore identically. ”

And for this site of around € 60,000, the urban community has, following a call for tenders, selected the company Chanzy-Pardoux, from Ars-sur-Moselle. “The temple is not classified as a historic building, but we wanted to use a company with expertise in the field. “

If, for the moment, the preliminary washing steps have been completed, the end of the work was initially scheduled for the end of the year.
