Patrick Sébastien “ruined”? He reveals his “huge financial hole”

Patrick Sébastien does not have his tongue in his pocket, and is not afraid to give his opinion on the evolution of the world of TV, and on the financial insecurities they could have encountered.

Patrick Sébastien will have collaborated with France Télévisions for 25 years, before things go wrong, and the chain ends up ousting the star presenter.

A blow to the iconic tv man, who saw the world of TV “transform”, not necessarily in the good sense of the word. On the occasion of an Interview for the next issue of TV Star, Patrick Sébastien gave himself up “without filter” on his conception of the world of current TV, and on “this financial hole” which he has to face:

I spent thirty fabulous years on television and five of shit. I’m really happy with what I’ve done, but this world is behind me. TV has changed far too much. Today, office guys have the power to censor. And these guys have a deep contempt for my audience. It makes me a huge financial hole but freedom comes at a price.

Freedom at a price, of course, and will have allowed the French animator to bounce back to other projects that fascinate him:

During the confinement, I invented a TV game, Culture People, which I will offer to animators whom I like. You see, they don’t kill me. I’m still standing because it’s my nature and no one will be able to break my shell.

Will this creative project bear fruit in the coming months? Case to follow.

That’s not all, 66-year-old presenter does not intend to stop there right away: he has also just released a book with XO editions entitled “I moved the elephant”!

In short, nothing to worry about for the host who has thrilled the French for 30 years, Patrick Sébastien has more than one trick up his sleeve and is not about to make us stop laughing.

You want to know more ? The full interview will be available on newsstands on June 29.
