Ergo Versicherung Patrick Schuback in Bad Schwartau is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Insurance salesman Schuback began his training in 1999 in Travemünde with Angelika Schrader-Plate. “Normally, training takes place in the office. However, I was already working in the field during my training,” says Schuback. “That was very good for my career.” Immediately afterward, on August 1, 2002, he founded his insurance agency in Bad Schwartau on Lübecker Strasse.
Just one year later, he was able to hire his first employee. “I also think it’s very important to train young people and I’m very proud that all of my field staff have learned everything from scratch here,” explains Schuback. A new trainee, Til Gosch, has just started his vocational training in the company.
In 2016, the district headquarters in Bad Schwartau moved from Lübecker to Auguststraße. “Since 2021, we have also been serving customers on Sylt and on August 1 of this year we also opened an office there with one employee.”

On June 1, 2023, Schuback and his team were able to move into their own new premises in an old villa on Eutiner Strasse. “We’ve arrived here,” he says happily. Today, eight people work for the agency, four of them in the field and two in the office. “We are one of the most successful Ergo agencies in Germany,” says Schuback. The Ergo district office in Bad Schwartau is known far beyond the borders of the spa town. The catchment area extends from Schleswig-Holstein to Hamburg.

We can offer everything and work with the Hansa BMW car dealership, Dehoga Ostholstein and Wüstenrot with building savings and real estate,” explains Schuback.
Schuback himself looks after the commercial sector and offers special packages such as company pension plans, company health insurance, accident insurance and bike leasing. The self-employed put everything in my hands so that I can offer complete care for individuals and companies.”

Schuback sponsors various sports clubs in the region. “We have been a premium partner of VfB Lübeck since 2019,” says Schuback, who also donates to the Wish Car. For the anniversary, he wants to give something back to the people of Bad Schwartau with a family event: For the event, he wants to bring the original DFB Cup to Schwartau, as Ergo is the main sponsor of the DFB.
