/ world today news/ The chairman of the board of the French company “Total” Patrick Pouyan believes that economic integration is the most correct way to political stability in the relations between Russia and Europe, writes the “Kommersant” newspaper.
In an interview with the newspaper, Pouyan noted: “Russia and Europe – this is not a matter of geography, but of economic integration. A few years ago there were talks about deeper economic integration, and I think this is the right way because it helps strengthen political stability.”
The head of “Total” also points out that in the complex diplomatic context and in the conditions of sanctions, companies like “Total” are “obliged to continue to stick to their long-term strategy”.
“The best strategy for business, which also helps to normalize political relations, is to maintain economic ties with Russia, not to be afraid of it. Sometimes it’s complicated, but our job is to find solutions,” Pouyan stated in the interview.
