[BLOG] We are slowly walking towards the holidays in which the battle for listeners’ ears begins. The top 1000, 2000, 4000 of the ads but also the public. They will soon announce what will change in the programming of the two pop stations NPO Radio 2 and 3FM, but as you know, things come to my attention from time to time. Three people are going to be promoted anyway and two of the three are looked at with suspicion: how is it possible that they get more airtime? We are going to explain in detail who is concerned, below the picture from at least five years ago.
Tom and Joe, do those names mean anything to you? They did some production work for Mattie and Marieke once and the management of the 3FM channel thought it would be a good opportunity to bring them to 3FM to do an hour of the morning show, between 9 and 10am. She will learn that at Qmusic! Well, it caused laughter, because the two may be fun on TikTok together, but fun radio is something completely different. And they get an extra hour and move to 3FM evenings, to the evening slot from 7pm. Because no one listens to him and they even have the debatable honor of doing the worst scoring program ever on 3FM, which needs to be rewarded. Sigh. Perhaps with the excuse ‘the young are at school from 9am, this will catch up in the evening’. Dude, couldn’t you have thought of this in advance?! Anyway, it would be too easy to call the guys here Stupid and Joe, although I hear this being said internally by jealous colleagues. Welcome to the land of radio! Anyway, it’s still great that the other golden duo, station boss Menno de Boer and his brother from another mother Chris Hartgers, were allowed to bring 538 to a crashing end, only for now they can’t get 3FM no longer. Why is it a bad idea to rename 3FM to NPO Radio 3? That’s the first thing you should have done with such a corrupt brand! With your update.
Another joke from the younger generation, Daniël Lippens, is to be promoted at NPO Radio 2. They had to leave 538 where the program management can’t do anything with an unusual disc jockey like him. Now he does SLAM! for BNNVARA the evening hours from 8pm to 10pm, but these will soon be filled again by Morad El Ouhakili (written correctly in one go without googling) for the rebel club Powned, as you could read here before. I hear that Lippens can work evening hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, including Friday from 2pm to 4pm, where Evelien de Bruijn is now pretending to be a deejay. Anyway, I hear that she will have to give up a few hours in the new programming of NPO Radio 2 and that she will only have one program left. A big plan. For the rest, cuddle with former 3FM station coordinator Paul van der Lugt at home and walk the dog. Not because you’re a woman, but because you don’t have enough skills as a solo deejay, no matter what your husband likes to say otherwise.
Let’s see, what else do we have to complain about… Well, it’s cold, a good friend of mine has passed away and I think the celebration at 538 is that they’re #1 at 20-49 for a week too soon, while he is on the other floor of the building the cottage is on fire (read: Radio 10). So maybe Tim op ‘t Broek will do late afternoon on NPO Radio 2. I’m starting to believe in DAB+ a bit more now that I’ve driven a slightly newer car. I have already lost five kilos. Radio 10’s morning show is under receivership due to disappointing results. I’m about to take a bath. My TV is broken. And that’s why I watch Netflix with the projector on the wall. Download radio guru Valerie Geller the third version of her book ‘Beyond Powerful Radio’ spreader. And I hope you guys come across some juicy radio jokes in the comments…it can’t always come from one side, can it?!
