–DNA member Patrica Etnel (NPS) has just announced that she will also be there tomorrow. The politician announced this via her Facebook page. She probably means the protests that are planned for Monday.
Etnel adds that she is not there to support others. “Because all of us who have a heart for this country fight for a better Suriname as it is now on the street, in parliament or in an organization, we do it! Various Surinamese political parties, including DOE and HVB, have indicated this weekend that they will join Monday’s protest. The NDP yesterday also called on its supporters to support the activists.
“Show decisiveness and be guided by hiding your arrogance and reaching out! Wi abi wan betre tamara fanowdu! There must be peace“, said the NPS assembly member.
Her party announced today that the NPS has found a committee willing to go to the table with representatives of the activists. It is learned that the leaders have declined this offer.
