Patrice Laffont is a very proud father of the success of his three children. The host, who celebrates his 81st birthday this Friday, August 21 and who is about to join the band of chroniclers of Touche pas mon poste the start of the school year, is the father of Fabrice, Axelle and Mathilde, the youngest. The French already know Axelle, former Weather Miss for Canal + and now an actress. They could notably see her in the film MILF that she performed in 2018 or during appearances in television series the success as Profiling or Nina. But between Axelle and her father, the relationship is not easy. In 2015, the former host of Fort Boyard had confided that his daughter had had the impression that her father was overshadowing her when he took the stage for his one-man-show. “She wanted so badly to get rid of the label ‘Laffont’s daughter’ that she took it badly for me to walk on her flower beds”, he explained in an interview in 2015.
Fabrice is a director, Mathilde dreams of becoming an actress
If the French know Axelle, they know much less about Fabrice and Mathilde. Patrice Laffont’s son is a director specializing in music videos. We owe him, among other things, a documentary on Michel Polnareff, released in 2014. Fabrice has been married to Louise for four years, to the delight of his father. “She is a great girl and a polytechnician. They are an atypical couple and seem to love each other very much”, confided the host, in 2017. Finally, with regard to Mathilde, who works in the fashion world, she dreams of following in her big sister’s footsteps and becoming an actress. “My fear is that she gives up her job to start as an actress. Pretty, charming and talented actresses, there are a lot of them and it is extremely difficult, to find her place”, worried Patrice Laffont, about his youngest, in 2017.
