Patriarch Ignatius Aprem II to Address Issues of Jacobite Syrian Church in Kerala With Chief Minister

Kozhikode: His Holiness Patriarch Ignatius Aprem Dwitiyan Bawa said that he would bring the problems of the Jacobite Syrian Church in Kerala to the attention of the Chief Minister. He was addressing the gathering of Bhadrasana believers at St. Mary’s Soonoro Church, Velamkode, Kozhikode.

At the end of his visit, he is meeting the Chief Minister in Thiruvananthapuram. Church affairs will wear him down. There is no sectarian dispute or conflict anywhere in the temples of Malabar. There is a situation in other Bhadrasanas where mosques are lost and there is no freedom of worship. The mental strain of those who lose their church and place of worship is great. Kozhikode Bhadrasan is inhabited by people who migrated from Kottayam and Ernakulam districts in the past. They established churches. Blood and sweat raised the church and community.

As a spiritual father, he knows that his love is great. It is his duty to return the fatherly love to his children. ‘Your love fills my heart. I will pray to Almighty God for your salvation from the crisis,” Bawa said.

Malankara Metropolitan Dr. Joseph More Gregorios presided. Mayor Dr. M. Bina Philip, Metropolitans Dr. Paul more Irenaeus, Geeverugees more Stephanos, Yaldo more Tithos, Mathews more Aprem, More Eugene Alkhauri Alkhas, Markos more Christopheros, C.S.I. Malabar Mahayidawaka Bishop Dr. Rois Manoj Victor, Bhadrasana Secretary Mykotumkara Philip John Kassisha, Fr. Skaria Eantalamkuzhi, Thondalil Elias Kor Episkopa, Chevalier C. E. Chakunni and others were present.
