Day by day the incidents of domestic violence are increasing in many areas of the country.
In Patras, according to the local website flamis.gr, the police were called to deal with five such incidents, three of which were particularly serious, on Thursday night and Friday morning.
Of these, the incident on Asimaki Fotila Street was particularly serious, where a young woman jumped barefoot into the street to escape her partner, while a friend of hers was waiting to help her.
The frightened woman screamed as her partner hit her and swore at her, bringing the neighborhood to its feet in the night.
The shouting continued and eventually the girl jumped out of her window onto the pavement to escape, shouting “Help, call the police!”.
Patrol cars arrived on the spot and the police searched for the perpetrator who caught up and left. However, he was arrested yesterday morning in the context of the car traffic.
He was released a little later and yesterday at 3 pm… he went back to the woman’s house and started asking for money (150 euros) which he claimed he had spent at the super market.
Men from the DIAS group arrived on the spot again and arrested him. In the 2nd A.T. the woman was also found in order to testify.
