Current Problems: The President of the Coalition of Chronic Disease Patients’ Associations says the drug shortage problem in pharmacies has been going on for a long time.
Patients complain about the lack of a large number of drugs from pharmacies, especially needed for patients with serious illnesses, says Radu Gănescu, president of the Coalition of organizations of patients with chronic diseases in Romania, in the show “Problems la zi” on RRA.
However, the Ministry of Health claims that it has posted an ordinance on its website that bans or, as the case may be, temporarily suspends the parallel export of medicines.
Anca CRUPARIU – The spokesperson for the National Medicines Agency said today on RRA (in the Probleme la zi program) that the authorities are also evaluating the rules to ensure the public service obligation of holders of authorizations for medicines.
Radu Ganescu – the president of the Coalition of Associations of Patients with Chronic Diseases in Romania says that the problem of the lack of medicines in pharmacies has been going on for a long time.
In his opinion, the greatest risk is for patients who cannot even find cheap medicines, which is life-threatening.
He believes that the solution to solving the drug crisis in pharmacies can only be serious regulation of pricing policy by the authorities.
