Mülheim an der Ruhr (ots)
The fire department of the city of Essen requested a patient transport train for 10 people (PTZ-10) today. Today’s patient transport train consists of two ambulances, six patient transport vehicles and a lead vehicle. According to the existing concept, the aid organizations German Red Cross, Johanniter Unfallhilfe and the Malteser Hilfsdienst are involved. This supports the Mülheim an der Ruhr fire brigade, which provides the management component and an ambulance. At 7:15 p.m., the patient transport train left the main fire station in Mülheim an der Ruhr to drive to the staging area at the main fire station in Essen. In Essen, a dud from the Second World War has to be defused. Several facilities have been evacuated there due to the defusing. The Mülheim an der Ruhr component supports the city of Essen in evacuating and repatriating people. (ALo)
