A patient died in a fire at the State Psychiatric Hospital in Lovech, Gabriela Todorova, spokeswoman for the regional directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, told BTA.
The fire was reported after 7:30 p.m. The fire broke out in a room on the third floor of the men’s ward.
The fire has now been extinguished, there is no danger to the hospital staff and patients.
A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated and the reasons for the incident are being clarified.
